The Musicological Society of the FB&H and the Academy of Music of University of Sarajevo organize the International Musicological Symposium “Music in Society” for the eleventh time. With the intention of offering a common platform for as many academics as possible, the organizers opted for a broad theme on contemporary discourses on music from various aspects.

The Program Committee invites all interested academics to send their applications that will be organized according to the offered fields and topics:

The official languages of the symposium are Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and English.

The reviewed papers will be published in the Collection of Papers “Music in Society” in 2020 (English and Bosnian version).

The registration fee is € 30 and includes the program booklet and other materials and a dinner for all participants of the symposium.

The organizers do not cover the travel and accommodation costs of the participants.

The Program Committee will make its final decision on the abstracts by the 10 April 2018, and contributors will be informed immediately thereafter.
